Wedding Show, Blackburne House, Liverpool

Tomorrow (Sunday 31st March) Blackburne House in Liverpool's Georgian Quarter is having it's first wedding show. We were lucky to be the first photographers in Liverpool to photograph a wedding shoot there which shows what a lovely venue this will be for weddings in this iconic area of the city.

Liverpool Echo's Michelle Rushton Enjoys CityShoot Makeover Photo Shoot

Our popular CityShoot Makeover Photo Shoots are getting featured in the Liverpool Echo's Best of Liverpool supplement (shortlisted for the best newspaper supplement, we discovered today - and that's alongside the likes of the Telegraph!). And so today we treated Michelle Rushton from the Liverpool Echo to her very own CityShoot. Michelle is a beautiful woman, but having had her second child recently, she is still getting used to her role as mum of two, and so it was lovely to be able to give her the time out to relax.  We can't wait to show her the selection of photographs, but in the meantime here is a little sneak peak.

Photographing Beauty in the Zoe Photography Liverpool City Shoots

Being a woman of a certain age (Kathryn will tell me off if I mention that number again!), I've set out to photograph beautiful women of all ages and stages of life. Which has led me to photograph some beautiful women that I know and love. And so it was a great pleasure to photograph the Creative Director of Liverpool's Hope Street Hotel, Mary Colston. She has a beautiful spirit, as well as a natural beauty in her face, and her eyes just sparkle with joy. I'm really looking forward to sharing all her photographs with her, along with the few that we managed to grab with her gorgeous daughter just before we wrapped up. This picture is a rare one in the selection, as she isn't laughing - and I keep hearing her laughter as I work on her photographs. Just perfect!

Zoe Photography donates Makeover Photo Shoot to NWCRF- Making Every Woman Feel Special

Zoe and I had a lovely time at the North West Cancer Research Fund 'Girl's Night In' on Friday night next door at the Resident's Bar at Hope Street Hotel. 


I think what I liked in particular was that a) I got to wear my pyjamas and b) I got to get into bed and with the big cold I had last week it was definitely my type of party!!! I thought I would share with you a few photographs of Zoe and I in bed with the lovely Ruth from Hope Street Hotel. It is rare to see us on the other side of the camera so it was nice that Matt Ford was able to photograph us playing round.

 1 in 3 women are affected by cancer and the NWCRF are doing an incredible job of helping to change lives. As you will probably hear us say (a lot), women are beautiful, women are resilient, women deserve to feel special. Zoe and I were asked to donate some prizes for the best dressed pjs on the evening and we were delighted to be able to do so, and the prize was easy to decide on, our City Shoots. We are in such a privileged position that we get to give women a little pampering with hair styling and make up and a fabulous photoshoot followed by refreshments at the London Carriage Works. Every women needs reminding of how special they are and we love that we get to do that.


Women are beautiful inside and out and we are fortunate to be able to help all types of women see the beauty in themselves again.

Wedding Details: Shoes

I love shoes - I've ALWAYS loved shoes. And I love finding different ways to photograph them. The classical style of these shoes from Caroline's wedding just looked so right in a traditional kind of setting.

On the other hand, Claire's wellies were quirky and needed to be photographed in a completely different style!

I was young once, skinny, beautiful. Did I appreciate it? No, like many women, I yearned for other things - you know the stuff ... straighter hair, longer face (though I liked my nose!), slimmer tummy, straighter teeth.
