Knowsley Hall Designer Bridal Showcase

We are pleased to be exhibiting at the Knowsley Hall Designer Bridal Showcase at the weekend - 3rd October.  It would be great to see you there - we are in the State Dining Room (a gorgeous room for your wedding breakfast).  You can pre-book on the Knowsley Hall website for just £5, which is going to Lady Derby's charity, Alderhey Children's Hospital.  The showcase includes a range of wedding vendors, a catwalk show and guided tours around the Hall - what a treat!

Jo and Paul's Knowsley Hall Wedding

Jo looked like she was one of the calmest bride's I've come across when I saw her before her wedding at Knowsley Hall on Saturday - she claims to have been nervous, but she hid it extremely well!  Her dress was stunning, and fitted perfectly with the beautiful surroundings of Knowsley Hall.  It was definitely a day of laughter, particularly when the registrar referred to the groom as the 'wife' by accident!  Oops.  But it got everyone involved in the ceremony through the humour if nothing else.  Sadly though the weather put an end to the rounders and games that Jo had hoped to be part of her day, but it didn't dampen the day one bit.

Ruth and James' Wedding at Knowsley Hall

I love how no two weddings are the same, and having photographed two weddings at Knowsley Hall at the weekend, it was really apparent how different people's personalities effuse the location they choose for their wedding. Ruth and James are the kind of couple who exchange a glance, a touch, a smile, tiny messages of their love for each other that say so much, and it was lovely to watch how they fell in love all over again on their wedding day.

I was totally at home with their family and guests and felt as though I was accepted as one among them all, such a lovely feeling, and a very privileged place to be in, particularly when you are told that someone wishes you had photographed their wedding for them when they got married!











Although this is only a tiny selection of their wedding photographs, I think you can see the love that Ruth and James have for each other, and it's also obvious how at home they felt amongst the grandeur of Knowsley Hall. A beautiful day, and a true privilege to have been part of it, and to be looked after so well by the highly professional staff of Knowsley Hall, for whom nothing is any trouble. Thank you Ruth and James, and to your family and friends, for making it such an enjoyable day for me.

Chris and Elaine's Wedding: Knowsley Hall

Last weekend I photographed two weddings at Knowsley Hall - as one of the top 10 wedding venues in the country it's not difficult to capture beautiful images, but it also helps to have couples who are happy to be photographed!

This wedding was for Chris and Elaine, a lovely couple with a true love for each other, and clearly loved by their family and friends. Their whole style suited Knowsley Hall's elegance and charm, and they fitted right in! I loved that all the men were dressed in dinner jackets and bow ties.

Here is just a little taste of the treat in store for Chris and Elaine when they view their images. At the moment I am struggling to reduce the number of images they will see, there are just so many beautiful ones to choose from!

Brochure Images for Knowsley Hall

It's been very exciting over the last 3 weeks to be involved in creating images for Knowsley Hall for their new brochures for weddings and for corporate activities. The styling has been spectacular - as you'd expect with a home as beautiful as Knowsley Hall. I'm not going to share all the photographs yet, as that wouldn't be fair on the Hall. I'll share just a little teaser for now, and when the brochure is finished I promise to show you some more of the gorgeous images. A huge thanks go to The Bridal Gallery Group, Liverpool who were very generous with the load of dresses and accessories, to Boodles for the loan of some magnificent jewellery, and to Earth for the flowers. And of course, the shoot couldn't have happened without the model, Jo Anderson, who was very professional, and had the perfect look.

Knowsley Hall Wedding Shoot

I don't normally upload so many images from one shoot, but I am seriously pleased with these images! So I guess I couldn't stop! Oh, well, I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I have enjoyed working on them, from the pre-visualising stage, through taking them to processing them.

These photographs are all from a commercial shoot for Knowsley Hall last week - I worked with the Hall to create images that complement the location, whilst also showing how it can be used for wedding photography. We were really fortunate to be loaned some amazing props - the suits for Greg, our 'groom' were from Hugo Boss in the Met Quarter in Liverpool, the dresses were from Charlotte Balbier and The Liverpool Bridal House, and the amazing jewellery was from Boodles. You can't see them in any of these images, but we were also provided with a gorgeous bouquet from Earth Flowers in Heswall, and 2 cakes from Daisy Hill Cakes in Thornton Hough. A huge thanks goes out to all involved for their generosity.

And then there were the wonderful models, Greg Osborne, Amy Finnimore and Amanda Hamilton, who worked really hard on the 14 or 15 hours shoot, with their make-up done by Sian-Louise Auld and hair by Becci from Shush Hair Company in Southport.
